Delco Maintains AA Rating From S&P
The report also found that the county's debt and liability profile was strong, Delaware County said.
Delaware County has announced that it has maintained it AA rating from Standard and Poor’s Rating Service.
The July report also found that the “local economy is strong,” the county said.
“We view Delaware County’s local economy as strong. County residents benefit from a diverse local economy that includes such leading employers as Crozer-Keystone Health System, Boeing Co. and Villanova University. We believe residents also benefit from the county’s participation in the broad and diverse Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington metropolitan area,” the report reads, according to information provided by the county.

The report also found that the county’s debt and liability profile was strong, Delaware County said.
“We are extremely pleased that we maintained our high-grade rating of AA from Standard and Poor’s,” said County Council Chairman Tom McGarrigle. “The report shows sound fiscal management in county government and it shows confidence in the vitality of the county’s economic future.”
