Convicted Delco Child Rapist May Have Had More Victims: DA

The man threw parties and provided drugs to children as young as 12, the District Attorney's Office said.

A Media man was recently sentenced to prison time after pleading guilty to various crimes including rape of a child, corruption of minors, and indecent assault of victims less than 13 years old, according to the Delaware County District Attorney's Office.

Hugh Taussig-Lux, 20 of Media, was sentenced to 13 and a half to 27 years in state prison, as well as 8 years of probation. Taussig-Lux also faces lifetime Megan’s Law registration, according to the DA's office.

Hugh Taussig-Lux is currently incarnated at Graterford State Correctional Institution.

Taussig-Lux pleaded guilty on Feb., 24 to a series of charges including rape of a child, corruption of minors, indecent assault of victims less than 13-years of age, and sexual assault, the DA's office said.

Media Borough Police learned of a series of assaults that occurred over an 18-month period, with the 12 victims ranging in ages 12 to 15-years old, the DA's office said.

The majority of the assaults took place at the defendant’s apartment located on the 100 block of E. Baker St. in Media starting summer of 2014, the DA's office said.

In his apartment, Taussig-Lux would hold parties for students who were from the areas of Media Borough, Upper Providence, Middletown and surrounding neighborhoods and would provide marijuana and other illegal drugs to juveniles as young as 12-years old, according to the DA's office.

Police believe Taussig-Lux may have had more victims than the 12 victims mentioned.

Media Police ask parents to contact them is they believe someone was a victim of Taussig-Lux.
