Delco Police Officer Shot 7 Times To Leave Hospital Monday
Folcroft Borough Police Officer Christopher Dorman, who was shot seven times Friday, is being released from the hospital Monday.

The Delaware County police officer who was shot seven times Friday is scheduled to leave the hospital Monday.
Officer Chris Dorman of the Folcroft Borough Police Department will be at the Folcroft Fire House around 2 p.m. for anyone that wishes to greet him, the police department said.
Dorman, 25, was ambushed just before 10 a.m. while responding to a drug-related call.

Donte Brooks Island, known as Abdul Wahi, 33, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault and other related offenses. His bail was set at $1 million, court records show.
The incident happened at an apartment building on Elmwood Avenue. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the part-time officer was responding to a call about a reported drug deal when he was ambushed upon arrival. He was shot seven times, in the face, leg and chest. He was wearing a protective vest at the time, authorities said.

Dorman was transported to the hospital, where he underwent numerous surgeries before his Monday release.
