SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Aug. 7 and Aug. 12.

Aug. 7 at 5:04 p.m.
Target, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a shoplifter in custody. A 34-year-old Philadelphia woman attempted to leave the store with $309 of unpaid merchandise. She was turned over to police for processing. Wright was charged with Retail Theft.
Aug. 7 at 6:36 p.m.
Target, 857 Baltimore Pike, reported a shoplifter in custody. A 25-year-old Philadelphia woman concealed baby clothes and items under a blanket in her stroller and attempted to leave the store. She was stopped by security and $1,087 of unpaid merchandise was recovered. She was turned over to police for processing and charged with Retail Theft. She was held for arraignment.

Aug. 7 at 8:24 p.m.
Macy’s, 1300 Baltimore Pike, reported shoplifters in custody. Two women, 42 and 44 years old and both of Broomall, concealed clothing items in bags and attempted to leave the store. They were stopped by security and a total of $305 of unpaid merchandise was recovered. The two were processed and cited for Retail Theft.
Aug. 9 at 1:29 p.m.
Officers Kingsbury and Bergman observed a suspicious person exit the CVS at 795 Baltimore Pike and hop on a SEPTA bus. The store later reported a theft had occurred. The SEPTA bus was stopped and a 37-year-old Chester woman was identified as concealing $363 of unpaid merchandise in a reusable bag. She also had two warrants out of Washington County and Bensalem Twp. She was processed and charged with Retail Theft.
Aug. 10 at 2:30 a.m.
Chief Daly observed three suspicious subjects walking in the 900 block of Baltimore Pike. Officers stopped the group and found that they were all juveniles in violation of Township curfew. During the stop, one juvenile fled and could not be located. The other two, both 15 years old from Philadelphia, were transported to the police station and released to a parent. The fleeing juvenile was later identified. All were cited for Township curfew.
Aug. 10 at 1:16 p.m.
Officers responded to Target, 1200 Baltimore Pike, for two subjects passed out in the parking lot. A female was unconscious lying on the ground and a male was semi-conscious leaning on a shopping cart. An ambulance transported the female to the hospital. The male, 37 years old from Philadelphia, did not require medical attention. He was in possession of illegal narcotics and had three warrants out of Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. The man was taken into custody and turned over to the Montgomery County Sheriffs. He will be charged locally with Drug Possession.
Aug. 10 at 6:18 p.m.
Macy’s, 1300 Baltimore Pike, reported shoplifters in custody. Two women, 37 and 28 years old and both of Upper Darby, concealed clothing and fragrance items and attempted to leave the store. They were stopped by security and a total of $881 of unpaid merchandise was recovered. The two were processed and charged with Retail Theft.
Aug. 11 at 2:30 p.m.
Target, 857 Baltimore Pike, reported a shoplifter in custody. A 41-year-old woman from Delaware concealed merchandise in a personal bag and attempted to leave the store. She was stopped by security and $638 of unpaid merchandise was recovered. The woman was turned over to police for processing and charged with Retail Theft. She was held for arraignment.
Aug. 12 at 4:46 p.m.
Target, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a theft had just occurred. Security provided a description of a male that had stolen Health and Beauty items and fled the store. Several hours later, Sgt David Welsh observed the subject walking on Sproul Rd. A 31-year-old man from Philadelphia, was identified as the offender and $639 of unpaid merchandise was recovered. He was charged with Retail Theft and held for arraignment.
