Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a holiday to observe the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr. Many use the holiday as a day of service to volunteer. Trash, papers and recycling will NOT be collected in the township Monday, Jan. 16. The Springfield Township Administration Building and Springfield Township Public Library will be closed in observance of the holiday.
