The FBI website states that, overall, U.S. crime has dropped by 6 percent. Comparison of 2009 to 2010 shows the population has increased slightly, violent crime reports have remained the same, at 21, and forcible rape and robbery have decreased slightly.

Motor vehicle theft increased by four. Aggrevated assault has increased by three. There were two less cases of arson in 2010 than in 2009 but two more incidents of murder or non-negligible manslaughter.

Larceny-theft has decreased by 40 incidents and property crimes have also decreased. Reported burglaries decresed by three.
