5 Locals Named to University of Scranton Dean's List
Five Springfield residents achieved Dean's List status at the University of Scranton.

The University of Scranton has announced it's Dean's List, which recognizes students for academic excellence during the 2012 spring semester. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the Dean's List.
The list includes students from the Jesuit university's College of Arts and Sciences, the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Professional Studies and the College of Graduate and Continuing Education.
More than 1,470 students were named to the 2012 spring semester Dean's List, including the following Springfield residents.

- F. Thomas Foti, a sophomore communication major in Scranton's College of Arts and Sciences
- Kelsey Glynn, a senior nursing major in Scranton's Panuska College of Professional Studies
- Corinne O'Kane, a junior communication major in Scranton's College of Arts and Sciences
- Shawn Riley, a senior criminal justice major in Scranton's College of Arts and Sciences
- Michael Wielgus, a senior accounting major in Scranton's Kania School of Management
