Former Delco Commissioner's Federal Child Porn Trial Set: Report
The former Delco municipal commissioner accused of downloading, possessing and distributing child porn, will head to trial in December.

A former Delaware County township commissioner who is facing federal child pornography charges, will appear in court for his trial in December, according to a new report.
Main Line Media News reports former Radnor Township Commissioner Philip Ahr will appear for his trial in December after his attorney's request to delay the trial was granted by a federal judge.
Ahr's lawyer Stephen Patrizio made the request in August due to "voluminous discovery in this matter and anticipates receiving additional discovery from the government," the outlet reports.

Ahr, 67, of Radnor's Rosemont section, was arrested in October 2017 by Delaware County authorities following after they launched an investigation in September 2017.
He was charged with 130 total county related to child pornography filed in Delaware County, which are 10 counts of disseminating child pornography, 50 counts of child pornography possession, 60 counts of criminal use of a communication facility, and 10 counts of attempted dissemination of child pornography.

Then in February 2018, Ahr – whose online monikers allegedly were "DaddyX" and "DaddyXX" – was charged federally with two counts each of distribution and attempted distribution of child pornography and receipt of child pornography, as well as one count of possession of child pornography. The incidents leading to the charges span from 2013 to 2017, according to the indictment.
He was jailed shortly after being indicted and remains in federal custody.
According to the federal indictment, Ahr must also forfeit two Dell desktop computers; a Hewlett-Packard laptop computer; an iPad Air; a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone; and 80 gigabyte hard drive; and a USB flash drive.
On top of the physical forfeitures, the indictment stipulates Ahr must turn over "any film, videotape, or other matter which contains any such visual depiction, which was produced, transported, mailed, shipped, or received" relating to material involving the sexual exploitation of minors; "any property, real or personal, constituting or traceable to gross profits or other proceeds obtained" relating to material involving the sexual exploitation of minors; and "any property used or intended to be used, in any manner or part, to commit, or to facilitate the commission of" the sexual exploitation of minors.
