Free Rabies Clinic Planned for Springfield Residents

Springfield Township Health Department will hold its annual free Rabies Clinic for dogs and cats of Springfield residents only Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Public Works Building.

The Springfield Township Health Department will hold its annual free Rabies Clinic for dogs and cats of Springfield residents only on Saturday Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Springfield Township Public Works Building at 1258 Church Road. 

Springfield Township would like to welcome Dr. Beth Henry V.M.D. of Wellington Animal Hospital, located at 3921 Miller Road in Newtown Square, for volunteering her time to administer the rabies vaccine.

Henry received a bachelor's degree in biology from Albright College and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She enjoys the variety of being a general practitioner and the bond between pets and their people.

Henry has been on the talented veterinary team at Wellington since its opening in 2008. Wellington Veterinary Hospital is always accepting new clients and offers 24-Hour Emergency Care for Dogs & Cats, with a vet always on premises. For more information call 610-886-1235.

Applications for dog licenses will also be available, for a nominal fee.

Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be transported in some type of pet carrier.  

All residents who own dogs or cats are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this free service for both their pets' and family members' protection.
