Gun Charges, Drugs, Public Drunkenness: Springfield Police Report

Police arrested three people in connection with Target thefts, but found drugs and a gun in one of the suspect's vehicles. See more here.

SPRINGFIELD, PA – Springfield Township Police issued their weekly crime report highlighting crimes in the township that occurred between April 23 and April 28.

Incidents included gun and drug arrests stemming from a theft incident, stolen perfume, public drunkenness, and more.

April 23, 11:43 a.m.
A resident of the 500 block Maddock Road reported someone had entered her shed and a utility room under the house sometime over the weekend. Nothing was reported missing.

April 25, 12:20 p.m.
Target security 800 block Baltimore Pike reported observing a female conceal clothing and baby items underneath a garment she was wearing and underneath a purse in her shopping cart. She then wheeled the cart to a cashier and paid for some items in the cart but not the concealed merchandise. The female was stopped by security and $286 worth of merchandise was recovered. Stacy Outen, 40, of Sharon Hill, was taken into custody and charged with retail theft. She was later arraigned at Springfield Court.

April 25, 8:26 a.m.
Famous Footwear employees reported a customer had reported to them that a shopper had selected numerous pairs of shoes and placed them in a shopping bag. The subject left the store without paying for the shoes. He was observed leaving the parking lot in a vehicle. Det. Devaney is investigating the theft.

April 26, 12:24 p.m.
The manager of the Days Inn 600 block Baltimore Pike asked for assistance with a tenant who had overstayed his welcome. Ofc. Graff responded and found Robert Moll, 48, of Wyomissing to be highly intoxicated outside of one of the rooms on the second floor. Moll was taken into custody and charged with public drunkenness. He was later released to a friend.

April 26, 1:45 p.m.
More unlawful imbibing. Officers were called to a disturbance in the area of the Conicelli Toyota dealership 800 block Baltimore Pike. They found there had been a verbal altercation involving a male and
female, and the female ran inside the dealership to hide from the male. Ofc. Christy made contact with the male, Frobory Doray, 26, of Yeadon, and found him to be highly intoxicated. Doray was taken into custody and charged with public drunkenness. He was later releases later to a friend.

April 26, 2:11 p.m.
Officers responded to the Target at the mall for a report of multiple theft suspects inside the store stealing for the second time. Target security was able to apprehend one of the suspects who was observed stealing an Xbox game controller. Abrae Payne 18, of Crum Lynne, was taken into custody by Ofc. Bierling who also learned a vehicle involved in transporting the thieves was still in the lot. Sgt. Welsh located the vehicle and female inside. Investigation of this vehicle and subject led to the finding of narcotics and a loaded handgun. The female, Brandi Storlazzi, 20, of Glenolden, was taken into custody. Further investigation by Det. McNeely led to the arrest of Corey Thompson, 19, of Wallingford on April 27. All three subjects were charged with retail theft, drug offenses, and firearms violation. They were all arraigned at Springfield Court.

April 26, 5:35 p.m.
Giant market 900 block Baltimore Pike reported a male subject had stolen Tide laundry pods and ran from the store. Ofc. McPartland responded and located the subject in the rear of the Springfield Square South shopping center. Tyrone Johnson 53, of Chester, was taken into custody and charged with retail theft. He was later released.

April 27, 10:41 p.m.
Ofc. DiRemigio investigated a traffic crash at State Rd. and Collins Dr. and found the driver of one of the vehicles intoxicated. The female needed medical assistance and was transported to a hospital. The
female, a 29 yr. old from West Chester, will be charged with DUI pending a blood test.

April 27, 2:49 p.m.
Target at the mall security reported observing a female walking around the store selecting and concealing merchandise in a baby stroller she was pushing. She attempted to leave the store and was stopped by security. Leslie Jones, 30, of, Philadelphia, was taken into custody and charged with retail theft. She was taken to arraignment at Springfield Court.

April 28, 5:48 p.m.
Officers responded to the Macy’s store at the mall for a report that a male subject had stolen over $4000 worth of perfume over a period of several days. That’s a lot of perfume. On this date, Macy’s described the male who had left the store with perfume, and responding officers located the male about to enter a bus in the lot. Ofc. DiRemigio identified David Kennedy, 54, of Philadelphia, as the actor. Kennedy was taken into custody and held for arraignment at Springfield Court.
