Intoxicated Juveniles Caught Vandalizing Vehicles
Two boys were busted for underage drinking, one for marijuana, after kicking cars on E. Scenic Road.

was notified of a young boy kicking vehicles in the 500 block of E. Scenic Road on July 2 at 7:11 a.m.
Patrolman Stephen Hurwitz responded and saw several boys walking on Colonial Park Drive. Upon seeing the officer, they all fled into .
After a short foot chase a 17-year-old from Springfield was taken into custody. He was identified as the boy kicking the vehicles.

A total of three vehicles were found damaged on E. Scenic Road. He was also found to be intoxicated. He was in possession of suspected marijuana when he was searched.
A short time later, Patrolman Andrew McKinney located a 17-year-old from Clifton Heights in the wooded area of the park. He was also found to be intoxicated.

Both boys were transported to the Springfield Police Station. The juvenile from Clifton Heights was issued a citation for underage drinking and was later released to a relative.
The juvenile from Springfield will be petitioned to Juvenile Court in Media and charged with criminal mischief, underage drinking, disorderly conduct and violations of the Health and Safety Act.
The incident is under investigation by Detective Bridget McCarthy.
