Irene Cleanup Effort Includes Free Curbside Collection

Springfield Township has posted a special notice regarding Hurricane Irene cleanup.

The following is a message from Springfield Township regarding Hurricane Irene cleanup and the Labor Day week trash collection. 

The township will collect tree branches and water-logged belongings.  Call the at 610-544-1300 to make arrangements for this free curbside pick-up. 

The street sweeper is currently cleaning all streets throughout the township. Fallen trees blocking township roads will be handled by the Springfield.

If anyone has special needs or issues, please call the Springfield Township Administration Building at 610-544-1300. 

The Township is working with PECO to get power back on to all customers as quickly as possible.

Due to the Labor Day Holiday on Monday, Sept. 5, trash and recycling will not be collected. 

Trash that is normally collected on Mondays and Thursdays will only be collected on Thursday, Sept. 8 for that week. Residents are asked to hold their recycling until the following Monday, Sept. 12.
