Lansdowne Councilman Convicted In Third DUI Case

The Democrat is seeking reelection this year despite pleading guilty to the charges.

A Lansdowne Borough Councilman seeking reelection this year was found guilty of DUI charges filed after an October 2016 incident, making it his third DUI case since 2009.

Eric Aubrey, 39, was convicted of two general impairment/incapable of driving safely charges stemming from an Oct. 26, 2016, incident, according to court records.

This marks Aubrey’s second DUI conviction on the same charge since 2015 and his third related conviction since 2009, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

The Times reports the first-term Democrat is seeking reelection this year despite the charges and despite not being backed by the party.

Court records show Aubrey will be sentenced on April 18.
