Lifeguards Lauded for Lifesaving

recognized the heroic life-saving acts of several lifeguards who protected patrons of the swimming pool over the summer.

Commissioner Gina Sage presented lifeguard Jake Nave with a plaque of appreciation during the board's meeting Sept. 13. Nave responded to a situation at the pool on June 30.

Other lifeguards were honored but were not present to receive their plaques, which will be mailed to them.

"Some of them are probably away for college," Sage said.

Catherine Kirk for a life-saving action on July 13

Dusanka Lalic for a life-saving action on Aug. 4

Tim Pawloski for life-saving action on June 22 and July 7

Alex Wassel for life-saving action on June 19
