Lifeguards Lauded for Lifesaving
Board of Commissioners honored lifeguards who responded to situations at the country club pool.
recognized the heroic life-saving acts of several lifeguards who protected patrons of the swimming pool over the summer.
Commissioner Gina Sage presented lifeguard Jake Nave with a plaque of appreciation during the board's meeting Sept. 13. Nave responded to a situation at the pool on June 30.
Other lifeguards were honored but were not present to receive their plaques, which will be mailed to them.

"Some of them are probably away for college," Sage said.
