Man Admits To Stealing $53K From Delco Marine Corps League
Former Commandant of the Upland Chapter of the League Alan Staniskis pleaded guilty in court to embezzlement-related charges Wednesday.

MEDIA, PA — A Delaware County man pleaded guilty to stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the Delco Marine Corps League.
Alan Staniskis, 52, of Swarthmore, pleaded guilty to charges related to embezzling about $53,000 from the league in court Wednesday.
Staniskis and Kera Kiss, of Mullica Hill, New Jersey were charged with felony theft, conspiracy and possession of stolen property back in February 2020.

Stakiskis was the Commandant of the Upland Chapter of the League, and Kiss was the Chapter Paymaster.
Staniskis issued several payments to himself from the organization’s accounts totaling more than $53,000.

Authorities said Kiss is alleged to have altered the organization’s books and ledgers to hide these improper withdrawals.
