I teach electric and acoustic guitar lessons in person close to Springfield and Swarthmore. I have been teaching guitar for over 30 years and have experience teaching all ages of students. I also perform with my classic rock band The Garage Bandits most weekends and can help students get comfortable playing in front of other people. My teaching space is located at 34 Yale Avenue, Morton, PA. Contact me for more information or to set up a free trial lesson! I will be starting a new group guitar class on April 20th! This class will run for 6 sessions over the course of 7 weeks on Mondays from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. The focus of this class will be on teaching song melodies to beginners, such as Ode To Joy by Beethoven and Happy Birthday. Each week I will introduce slightly more complicated melodies that will help develop students' ability to play single note melodies on the guitar.

MEDIA, PA — A Delaware County man pleaded guilty to <a href="https://patch.com/pennsylvania/media/pair-embezzled-funds-delco-marine-corps-league-da">stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the Delco Marine Corps League.</a>Alan Staniskis, 52, of Swarthmore, pleaded guilty to charges related to embezzling about $53,000 from the league in court Wednesday. Staniskis and Kera Kiss, of Mullica Hill, New Jersey were charged with felony theft, conspiracy and possession of stolen property back in February 2020.Stakiskis was the Commandant of the Upland Chapter of the League, and Kiss was the Chapter Paymaster.Staniskis issued several payments to himself from the organization's accounts totaling more than $53,000.Authorities said Kiss is alleged to have altered the organization's books and ledgers to hide these improper withdrawals.
