Overdose-Related Crash, Burglary, Assault Mark Latest Springfield Police Blotter
Police had a busy week, including administering Narcan to a man who crashed a car after overdosing on heroin.

SPRINGFIELD, PA – Springfield Township Police released its latest crime report on Monday June 19.
The report covers police activity from June 12 to June 18 and included incidents such as burglaries, theft, assault, and more.

June 12, 6:53 a.m.
Three suites in the Springfield Hospital were forcibly entered sometime over the previous weekend. Attempts were made to steal from employee lockers and a business safe. At the time of the reports nothing was reported to be missing.
June 12, 10:47 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of gunshots being fired in the rear wooded area of the 400 block E. Woodland Avenue. While checking the area Ofcs. Clifton and Francis found the shots had been coming from a house on the 400 block. A resident, Moses Magera, 37, was found inside and arrested. A firearm was recovered from the house. Magera was charged with Reckless Endangerment, Risking a Catastrophe, and other crimes. He was held and arraigned at district court.

June 12, 3:55 p.m.
Several male juveniles were stopped and investigated for throwing numerous trash cans into parked cars and into the street along the 200 block of Powell Road. Two cars were found to have minor damage. Charges are pending further investigation.
June 15, 11:33 p.m.
Officers responded to an accident scene at State and Springfield roads and found the driver of a Toyota vehicle, an adult male from Glen Mills, unconscious. He was found to have overdosed on heroin, and was given Narcan by Sgt. McKinney, which revived him. He was taken to a hospital for medical treatment and submitted to a blood test. Charges against him are pending.
June 16, 7:42 p.m.
Two juvenile males both from Springfield were cited for Disorderly Conduct after causing a disturbance inside the Target Store at the Mall.
June 17, 4:44 p.m.
Daniel Connors, 27, of Glenolden, was arrested for taking three women’s dresses valued at $640 from the Macy’s Store at the Mall. He was held and later arraigned at district court.
June 18, 1:15 a.m.
Officers were dispatched to the Miller’s Ale House lot for an assault that had just occurred. The female victim reported being struck in the face and kicked by male subject whom she knew. The male fled the scene prior to police arrival. Investigation is continuing.
Burglary arrest
An investigation into three recent burglaries over the past month including the Happy Wok Restaurant, M&A Nails, and Bamboo Nails and Spa by Det. Nutley and Ofc. Shull led to the arrest of Jamie Campbell 46, of Chester. Campbell was found to have forcibly entered the businesses and took a varying amount of cash from the cash registers at each location.
