Peapod by GIANT Pick Up Service now available in Springfield
Another convenient shopping option to fit customers' busy lifestyles
GIANT Food Stores’ new Peapod by GIANT Pick Up service is now available to Springfield and Wynnewood customers. In partnership with leading internet grocer and sister company, Peapod, shoppers can order their groceries online through Peapod.com for easy pick up at the GIANT Food Stores located at 721 W. Sproul Road in Springfield and 50 E. Wynnewood Road in Wynnewood. These mark GIANT’s 17th and 18th Pick Up locations chain wide.
“For today’s busy customers, Peapod by GIANT Pick Up enables customers to shop when and how they want, scheduling the pickup time that works best with their schedules,” said John MacDonald, director of marketing and external communications. “Customer response to this convenient grocery option has been favorable and we are looking forward to introducing GIANT Pick Up to the Springfield and Wynnewood communities.”
To take advantage of Peapod by GIANT Pick Up, shoppers visit Peapod.com or the Peapod app on their smartphone where they enter their zip code. Once there, they can add items to their cart, select a payment method and then choose a convenient one hour pick-up time any day of the week. Peapod by GIANT Pick Up costs $2.95 per order with a minimum order of $60. Manufacturer coupons are accepted and doubled. Customers must present the coupons to the Pick Up attendant where they are credited against their payment method. When customers arrive at their designated Pick Up location, an attendant is waiting to put the bags directly into their car.

In addition, shoppers can create personal lists, read nutritional information online, sort products rapidly by price or by nutrition criteria, and take advantage of thousands of weekly specials. GIANT customers can even shop from a list of items they have bought at their local store simply by entering their GIANT BonusCard number online. They can also earn Gas Extra Rewards and A+ School Rewards on their pick-up orders.
