Pharmacy Burglary, Theft, Disorderly Conduct: Springfield Police Blotter

Police were busy in the early days of August, according to the latest crime report. See full details of what when down in the township here.

SPRINGFIELD, PA – Police in Springfield Township released their latest crime report. Between July 31 and Aug. 3, police responded to nine varying incidents in the township.

Crimes included a burglary, DUI, disorderly conduct, theft, and more.

July 31, 11:44 p.m.
Police investigated a crash in which a pick-up truck was at rest against a parked vehicle on the unit block Nield Road. Officers found an unresponsive 50-year-old male subject from Philadelphia in the driver seat of the truck. He was found to be intoxicated and was treated by medical personnel and taken to a hospital. A blood test was taken at the hospital and charges for DUI are pending.

Aug. 1, 1:25 a.m.
Police were called to the Springfield Pharmacy on the 1100 block Baltimore Pike for an alarm activation. Investigation showed the pharmacy had been forcibly entered through the front door. An unknown quantity of narcotics was taken from the pharmacy area. Det. McCarthy found that two male subjects using a dark colored Chrysler vehicle displaying a Pennsylvania registration were involved. Contact Det. McCarthy at (610) 544-5505 with information. Aug. 1, 2:09 p.m.
A juvenile male from Broomall was arrested and will be charged with retail theft. Target at the mall security officers observed him stealing three cell phones from a display area. He was released to a relative.

Aug. 2, 4:53 p.m.
Theresa Lee, 50, of Ridley Park, was taken into custody and held for arraignment on retail theft charges for stealing $219.68 worth of merchandise from Target at the mall.

Aug. 2, 6:43 p.m.
Officer Cutcliff responded to an altercation at the Clothes Mentor store 700 block W. Sproul Road. He found that Naquina Rogers, 19, of Darby, had acted disorderly inside the store after conducting a clothes return transaction. She threatened and cursed at employees and struck an employee several times with her hands. She was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment.

Aug. 2, 10:05 p.m.
Lakisha McIntosh, 29, of Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with retail theft after being observed at Target at the mall stealing $215.97 worth of merchandise. She was held for arraignment.

Aug. 3, 9:24 a.m.
A 22-year-old male from Springfield was found unconscious in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle which was in gear in the parking area of the Dunkin' Donuts 100 block Baltimore Pike. Investigation showed him to be intoxicated on drugs and in possession of a quantity of illegal narcotics. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and criminal charges are pending results of a blood test.

Aug. 3, 11:44 a.m.
Police were called to the 1300 block Providence Road to investigate a male subject creating a hazard while walking in the street. Sgt. McKenna found Kevin Lynch, 26, of Secane, blocking traffic as he walked along the roadway. He was found to be intoxicated on alcohol and taken into custody. He was later released and charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

Aug. 3, 10:27 p.m.
Three adults from Drexel Hill were cited for parks violations after being found in Crowell Park during prohibited hours.
