Police Take Suspect Into Custody In Delco Town After Warning Residents To Stay Inisde

Police responded to a Pancoast Avenue home after receiving reports of a person barricaded inside a home.

A person has been taken into custody in Aston Township after police converged on a Pancoast Avenue home Wednesday morning for an alleged person barricaded in a home.

Aston Police said they initially responded to the home for a possible armed suicidal subject at the home, but did not find anyone inside the home.

During the situation, police urged the public to stay indoors as the situation played out on Pancoast Avenue.

Police were on Pancoast Avenue between Crystle Road and Scarlet Avenue for a reported person barricaded inside a home.

Police are asked residents to stay indoors if they are close to the scene and stay clear of they area if they are not.

According to the Delaware County Daily Times, police and SWAT teams converged on a Pancoast Avenue home early Wednesday for a person barricaded in the home.

The times reports no injuries have been reported and that nearby Sun Valley High School and Northley Middle School are not in danger.

The middle and high school were placed on "lock-in" status during the situation.
