5 Springfield Students Win Scholastic Art Awards
Only 300 students nationally have their work chosen to be displayed in New York.

has five winners in the national Scholastic Art Awards: Meghan Collins (Honorable Mention), Leah Grubb (Honorable Mention), Gabrielle Faragasso (Silver Key), Jaime Cessna (Honorable Mention) and Meagan Wright (Gold Key.)
The Scholastic Art Awards is a highly competitive and prestigious competition; students compete with the best young artists in the entire region. Gold and Silver Key Award winners will participate in a regional exhibition sponsored by the Philadelphia Arts in Education Partnership in conjunction with the University of the Arts in Center City. Gold Key winners have the chance to have their work chosen to be included in the National Student Art Exhibition in New York City - only 300 students nationally have their work chosen to be sent to New York.
The Philadelphia Regional exhibit will be from April 13-14 in Gersham Hall at the Gersham Y, 401 South Broad Street. The Award Ceremony and reception will be held on Saturday, April 14 at 1 p.m. in the Levitt Auditorium at the University of the Arts.
