Update: Storms and Strike Cause District's Verizon Service Issue

It took 48 hours for Verizon to resolve the district's service problems due to a lack of staff. District lines were unable to receive incoming calls and faxes.

If you tried to call the early this week, and got a busy tone, here's why.

The district posted the following message on its website:

"Due to service problems with Verizon, the School District is currently unable to receive incoming phone calls/faxes."

The district posted temporary numbers, but service issues were resolved Tuesday afternoon around 2:45 p.m.

Lines were damaged during weekend thunderstorms and Verizon told the district there were not enough staff members on-call to fix the problem immediately, Director of Educational Services Gary Mattei said.
