Springfield Crime Blotter: Thefts, Curfew Violation
Police said a group of eight kids, age 10 to 16, were loitering at 12:30 a.m. Sunday at the Parkway Inn without parents around.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
The blotter features incidents that occurred between May 9 and May 10.

May 8, 2:13 p.m.
Officers responded to the 600 block East Springfield Road for a report of four male subjects stopped by the Upper Darby Police Department for suspicion of theft. Investigation revealed the four males were on Shipley Lane and entered a vehicle to steal a wallet. They discarded the wallet when observed by police. All four were taken into custody and later released to family. Charges are pending. The wallet was returned to the owner.
May 9, 6:58 p.m.
Target, 800 block Baltimore Pike, reported a subject inside the store stealing merchandise, and they recognized him from prior thefts. The male was observed selecting electronics and placing them in a hand basket and then observed putting on a pair of sneakers and walking out of the store. He fled upon seeing police but was apprehended a short distance away. Jamar Wylie, 29, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody, charged with Retail Theft and other offenses and held for arraignment.

May 10, 12:31 a.m.
Eight juveniles all from Philadelphia ranging in ages from 10 to 16 were stopped and cited for a Curfew violation after being observed walking along Baltimore Pike and loitering at the Parkway Inn with no parental supervision. All were later released to their parent.
