Springfield Democrats Help Families in Need
A food and toy drive by the Springfield Democrats helped area families.

The following was provided to Patch:
At the December meeting of the Springfield Democrats, members collected food and toys for the holidays.
The toys will be taken to Rocco Polidoro's Nationwide office on Springfield Road, which is a “Toys for Tots” collection point.

The food will be donated to charities and food banks in the Springfield area.
Committee Chairman Raymond Santarelli said, “This is our first time organizing this type of event, and we will be making it a yearly tradition. The support from our members, families, friends and neighbors for this charitable act will certainly help those in need this Holiday Season.
On behalf of our committee and the beneficiaries of the charities that will benefit, I want to thank all that participated for their generosity.”
