Springfield High School 2011 Boys Ice Hockey Team Honored By Commissioners

Champions! The Springfield Township Board of Commissioners gave props to the Springfield High School 2011 Boys Ice Hockey Team for being Central League Champions and Class A-Flyers Cup Champions via resolution May 10.

Commissioner Gina Sage (R-Ward 2) read team members’ names as they approached the dais to receive recognition, “The Board of Commissioners applauds each athlete: David Allen, Nate Bennett, Nick Biehl, Ryan Brawley, Sean Brawley, Paul Burns, Michael Carr, Bryan Correnti, Conor Doyle, Jim Eden, Dan Hee, Kyle Laughlin, Dave Madonna, Billy McGugan, Connor Phillips, Shane Reger, Mike Rice, Kyle Riddle, Andrew Schaffer and Bill Swahl, as well as manager Eric Cohen for the outstanding team effort required to reach this goal…”

The congratulatory resolution applauded the guidance of head coach Phil Eastman, coaches Jim Gallo, Dan Lucey, Mike Mondevergine, Mike Rothberg and Nick Travaglini.
