BREAKING: The Springfield Mall was evacuated due to a fire Saturday afternoon, one of the year's busiest shopping days.

The Springfield Mall was evacuated for a grease fire Saturday afternoon, one of the year's busiest shopping days, according to authorities.
Firefighters responded to the mall for a grease fire after 3 p.m. It was placed under control around 3:30 p.m., according to the Springfield Fire Company.
The mall reopened around 4:30 p.m., according to NBC10. The fire started at Sbarro, that network said.
