Springfield Police Blotter: 3 Retail Theft Incidents

Springfield Township Police weren't as busy as usual last week, as they are only reporting three retail theft cases in the weekly blotter.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — The latest Springfield Township Police blotter is out, and it's rather breif.

The blotter only features three incidents that occurred in the last week, all of them retail theft related.

Feb. 26, 5:12 p.m.
Target at the mall security reported stopping a female after observing her take over $750 worth of handbags and cosmetics. She attempted to leave the store without paying. Amber Swanson, 29, of Ridley Park, was taken into custody and charged with retail theft. She was held for arraignment.

March 1, 2:49 hrs.
Target, 800 block Baltimore Pike, security reported observing a female inside the store select and conceal cans of baby formula inside her handbag and attempt to leave through the upper level. She was stopped and over $100 worth of formula was recovered. Jasmine Adeogun, 36, Upper Darby, was taken into custody, charged with retail theft, and held for arraignment.

March 1, 7:48 p.m.
Clothes Mentor, 700 block West Sproul Road, reported a female identified herself and sold clothing to the store. The female then walked around the store and selected a few items of clothing and went into a dressing room. When she exited, employees noticed the clothing was inside a bag and asked the female if they could look inside. She then ran out of the store and left in a waiting vehicle. Det. Devaney is investigating.
