The blotter covers incidents that occurred between April 22 and April 28.

Police handled thefts, drug offenses, assault, and more.

April 22 at 1:01 p.m.
Officers took a report from security at Target at the mall regarding a male subject who had stolen numerous cans of infant formula from display on multiple occasions the last few days totaling over $1000. On April 23 at about 9:02 a.m. Officers observed this subject pushing a shopping cart containing over $500 worth of infant formula in the parking lot outside the store after being contacted by Target security. The subject was stopped and identified as Kareem Jones 28, of Chester. He was taken into custody and charged with multiple counts of Retail Theft and held for arraignment.

April 22 at 1:08 p.m.
A resident of the 300 block Gibbons Road reported arriving home after being away for a few hours and finding her home had been forcibly entered through a rear window. A bedroom was ransacked, and an unknown quantity of jewelry was taken. Det. McNeely is investigating and reviewing surveillance video from the area.

April 22 at 10:03 a.m.
An employee from Olive Garden 1000 block Baltimore Pike reported someone had smashed her vehicle window while she worked and removed a pocketbook from the passenger floor area.

April 23 at 1:10 p.m.
Officers were called to the Parkway Inn 600 block Baltimore Pike to investigate an assault involving a male who had struck his girlfriend inside the room they were staying. The male fled before arrival of police but was later found in the rear of lot of a nearby business drunk, drinking beer and waiting to be arrested. He was identified as John McMillan 51, of Astor, Florida. He was charged with Assault, Public Drunkenness and other offenses and held for arraignment.

April 23 at 6:55 p.m.
Officers responded to Target at the mall and took into custody Quiera Benyard 24, of Philadelphia, after she walked out of the store pushing a shopping cart with over $500 worth of stolen merchandise. She was charged with Retail Theft and held for arraignment.

April 23 at 11:43 p.m.
While on patrol on the 600 block Saxer Avenue, a male subject walked in front of Officer Oswald’s police vehicle and yelled obscenities at him. The male then walked to the driver side of the vehicle and said he wanted to fight but continued to walk towards Baltimore Pike. More officers responded to the area and observed the subject enter Baltimore Pike and then stop and sit down in the middle of the highway. Officers stopped traffic, and the male verbally threatened to kill the officers. Officers took the subject into custody and found a quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia in his possession. Jefferson Weiah 22, of Phoenixville, formerly of Springfield, was charged with Aggravated Assault, Drug Offenses and other crimes and held for arraignment.

April 27 at 4:21 p.m.
Zariah Banks 19, of Wilmington, Delaware, was taken into custody and charged with Retail Theft after being stopped by Target security at the mall for stealing over $300 worth of women’s clothing. She was also found to have two active arrest warrants from Delaware County and was held for arraignment.

April 28 at 5:50 p.m.
Officers were called to the Macy’s at the mall for a report of a male who had stolen $5000 worth of jewelry and fled on foot towards Baltimore Pike. A passerby reported the male had run towards the businesses of Victoria Mills, and the male was apprehended by Officer Boyd in that area. The jewelry was recovered, and Quann Davis 21, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody, charged with Retail Theft and held for arraignment.
