Springfield Police Blotter: Drugs, Public Drunkenness, Thefts
Police arrested a Delaware man who allegedly tried to steal $200 worth of Red Bull. See details on this and more recent crimes here.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — The newest Springfield Township Police crime blotter is out.
Incidents included in the blotter occurred between March 25 and March 31.
Police dealt with thefts, drugs, public drunkenness, and more.

March 25 at 4:20 p.m.
A resident of the 600 block Dutton Circle reported a package which had been delivered to her front porch was stolen sometime in the afternoon.

March 25 at 4:32 p.m.
Target security at the mall observed a female select a numerous amount of infant clothing and conceal it in a purse she was carrying. She then attempted to leave the store failing to pay. She was stopped, and Target recovered over $200 worth of merchandise. The female provided false information about her identity and was found to have a quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia in her possession. She was taken into custody and identified as Kristi Kline 30, of Wilmington, Delaware. She was charged with retail theft and drug offenses and held for arraignment.
March 26 at 2:51 p.m.
Macy’s at the mall security reported observing a male and female inside the store stealing numerous packages of Polo underwear. Security attempted to stop the couple outside the store, and they fled. The female unfortunately dropped her purse which contained the stolen merchandise and items which were used to identify her. Sgt. J. DiTrolio is investigating.
March 28 at 6:36 p.m.
While on patrol at the Wawa, Officer Kingsbury observed a male stumbling around the store. He exhibited signs of intoxication and was stopped outside. He was found to have used a quantity of heroin and was taken into custody. While at the police station the male needed medical assistance due to his drug use and was transported to the hospital. Charges are pending.
March 29 at 4:06 p.m.
Target at the mall security observed a male they recognized from prior thefts of Red Bull enter the store and attempt to steal about $200 worth of Red Bull. He was stopped and taken into custody. The male was identified as Thomas Knee 55, of Wilmington, Delaware. He was found to have a quantity of Heroin in his possession and was charged with retail theft and drug offenses and held for arraignment.
March 31 at 1:20 a.m.
A 31-year-old female from Prospect Park was taken into custody and cited for public drunkenness after being found intoxicated in the parking lot of the Springfield Country Club. She was released to a friend.
