Springfield Police Blotter: Fighting, Theft, DUI, More
A pair of women were cited for disorderly conduct after allegedly getting into a fight over a stolen purse at the Springfield Mall.

May 27 at 6:43 a.m.
Officers investigated a vehicle crash on the 100 block Parkview Drive in which a vehicle struck a parked vehicle. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 28-year-old female from Springfield, was found at the scene and determined to be intoxicated. The female submitted to a blood test and remained at headquarters until released to family later.
May 27 at 1:42 p.m.
Officers responded to the mall to investigate an altercation between two females. They learned that one of the females while shopping at Victoria’s Secret placed her shopping bag down on a table which was later stolen. The victim looked around the mall for someone whom she believed stole the bag and located a female on the first floor. While both parties were being escorted by mall security back to Victoria’s Secret to settle the matter, the females began to hit each other. Mall security was then able to control the group until officers arrived. Two females both of Philadelphia were cited for Disorderly Conduct.

May 28 at 1:34 a.m.
Two parked vehicles along the 900 block Stoneybrook Road were struck by a moving vehicle. The driver of the moving vehicle was found to be intoxicated. The 26-year-old male from Drexel Hill was taken into custody and submitted to a blood test. He was later released to family.
May 30 at 4:50 p.m.
Michelle Vance, 26, of Royersford, was arrested and charged with Fraud and Identity Theft after attempting to pass a fraudulent check at the WSFS Bank drive thru on Saxer Avenue. Two males in the vehicle one juvenile and one adult were also held after being found to have active arrest warrants out of Delaware County and Manheim Township.
May 31 at 6:17 p.m.
Officers responded to the mall property to investigate a theft and the suspect had walked away from security. On arrival, Officers located the female outside walking away from the mall. She was stopped and identified as having stolen over $150 worth of merchandise from the Zumiez Store. She lied about being a juvenile and kicked police and inside the police vehicle as she was brought to headquarters. She was positively identified as Mahnya Saunders, 19, of Wilmington, and charged with Retail Theft and held for arraignment.
May 31 at 6:51 p.m.
Officers responded to a fight call on the unit block Shelburne Road. The victim reported a male entered the house where the victim was staying and assaulted him by punching him in the face. The suspect left before police arrival. A short time later after an investigation, the suspect a 31-year-old male from Springfield, turned himself in at headquarters. He will be charged with Simple Assault. Det. McNeely is handling the investigation.
June 1 at 8:50 p.m.
Officers went to the Wine and Spirits Store, 100 block Baltimore Pike, to investigate two subjects soliciting money. The subjects had been asked to leave multiple times by management of the store. They had also been asked to move on from the Best Buy store earlier in the day. Both subjects were found to be juveniles from Philadelphia, and both were picked up by family and left the area as officers stood by. A short time later, the two returned to the store, entered, and broke several bottles of liquor before fleeing in a vehicle. They will be charged with Criminal Mischief and Disorderly Conduct.
