May 6, 7:10 p.m.
Officers responded to Target at the mall after security there reported having stopped a female for stealing jewelry and clothing. Officers found that a female had selected a quantity of jewelry and clothing from display racks and concealed the items in a handbag. She then tried to leave without paying and was stopped by security. Security located and recovered a bar-code reading device the woman had stolen. While in police custody, Officers located a quantity of illegal drugs in her possession. Jennifer Adkins, 36, of Boothwyn was charged with Retail Theft and Drug Offenses and held for arraignment.
May 6, 9:35 p.m.
Officers were called to the Parkway Inn, 600 block of Baltimore Pike, to investigate a domestic dispute. They found that a male and female were involved in an argument, and the male stole the females purse containing debit and credit cards and identification and left the area. The male shortly thereafter withdrew money from an ATM in the area. Officers located the male on the 400 block Baltimore Pike and located the empty purse in the middle of the highway. The male had possession of the female’s property, illegal narcotics, and was found to be armed with a handgun. Mark Dedmon, 24, of Collingdale was taken into custody and found to have an active arrest warrant out of Philadelphia for Assault. He was charged with Drug and Weapons offenses and held for court.

May 8, 2:16 a.m.
Officers went to the Days Inn, 600 block of Baltimore Pike, to assist a woman who was fighting with her boyfriend. The boyfriend left the property, and a short time later police were called back to the hotel by the woman who reported the male returned and stole her wallet containing cash and identification. Officers located the male walking on the 300 block of Baltimore Pike and stopped him. Officers recovered the stolen wallet and arrested the male. The male, Frank Artis, 26, of Philadelphia, was charged with Burglary and Theft and held for arraignment at Springfield Court.
May 10, 1:49 a.m.
Officers investigated a traffic crash in which a vehicle drove into a traffic light standard in the area of South Bishop Avenue and Springfield Road. The driver was injured and needed medical assistance. He was found to be intoxicated and refused a blood test. The male, 41, of Ridley Park, was treated at a hospital and will be charged with DUI.
May 11, 3:59 p.m.
Springfield Pasta Company reported a female entered the store and pulled two dinner plates from the refrigerated display cases and presented the items for return valued at $25 after complaining of dissatisfaction to an employee. She was able to receive the money and left the store. Video surveillance confirmed the theft and deception. Det. McCarthy is investigating.
May 11, 5:23 p.m.
A woman reported that while she dined at Panera Bread, 1000 block Baltimore Pike, someone removed a wallet from her purse. She later learned that unauthorized transactions occurred on her credit cards before she was able to cancel. Det. McCarthy is investigating
