Springfield Police Blotter: Harassment, Vehicle Break Ins, More

Police said two adults and a juvenile were charged after allegedly getting into a fight on June 18.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — The latest Springfield Police crime blotter it out, and the details are below.


June 18, 2:50 p.m.
Officers were called to the 300 block South Norwinden Drive to investigate an altercation between three women who live at the apartment complex. They found an altercation took place between neighbors after one accused the other of moving property. All three females, a juvenile and two adults all from Springfield, will be charged with Disorderly Conduct.

June 19, 10:19 a.m.
A resident of the 100 block South Rolling Road reported sometime overnight someone entered her unlocked vehicle in the driveway and removed her purse which contained cash. The purse was later found but the cash was missing.

June 19, 4:16 p.m.
Officers responded to Macy’s at the mall and took into custody Phillip Mooney, 32, of West Chester, after Mooney was observed by security loading close to $1,000 worth of Polo merchandise inside a large bag he brought with him. Mooney was charged with Retail Theft and held for arraignment.

June 20, 5:02 p.m.
Jaron Bell, 20, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody and charged with Retail Theft after being observed at Target at the mall stealing over $330 worth of food, sporting goods, and clothing. Bell was processed and found to have an active arrest warrant from Philadelphia. He was charged and taken to arraignment at Springfield Court.

June 20, 6:09 p.m.
Michael Brady, 52, of Upper Darby was arrested and charged with Harassment and Terroristic Threats for an incident involving a resident on the 600 block Cheyney Road. He was taken to arraignment at Springfield Court.

June 22, 8:55 a.m.
Two parked vehicles were entered sometime overnight; one on the 100 block School Lane, and the other the 300 block Bennett Road. Taken was cash and a bag containing clothing and a Nintendo game console. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicles.
