Springfield Police Blotter: Shooting Threat, Stolen Car, More

Police said a woman was arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot a Domino's employee. See details and more here.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Springfield Police issued their weekly crime blotter Monday, and we have details here.

The blotter covers police-handled incidents that occurred between March 11 and March 18.

Police dealt with a stolen vehicle, a shooting threat, public drunkenness, and more.

March 11, 10:40 a.m.
Target security at the mall reported having a male subject in custody after observing him select PS4 video games from the electronic department and use a key to remove the keeper from the games. He then attempted to leave the store without paying for the games. The store recovered about $150 worth of merchandise. Toni Martinez 40, of Delaware, was charged with retail theft.

March 11, 12:28 p.m.
A resident of the 300 block Orchard Road reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle as it was parked in the driveway. A quantity of loose coins was taken.

March 11, 7:49 p.m.
Officers responded to the area of the unit block Saxer Avenue to investigate a male who was stumbling along the street and collapsed. Officers located the male who was found to be intoxicated. The male, 20, of Springfield, was taken into custody and charged with public drunkenness.

March 12, 11:27 p.m.
Officers responded to the Domino’s Pizza store 500 block Baltimore Pike for a report of a robbery with a gun involving a female. Officer Cutcliff was in the area at the time and confronted a female walking out of the store. She was stopped and identified as Vivian Youmans 30, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. It was learned that Youmans ordered a pizza inside and tried to pay for the pizza using non-monetary Domino’s card. As an employee explained she couldn’t use the card to pay, Youmans became disorderly and threatened to shoot the employee. Youmans then grabbed several inactive gift cards on display and tried to swipe them for payment and threw several items around the store before walking outside. Youmans was also found to have an active arrest warrant for a probation violation. She was taken into custody charged with theft, threats and other offenses and held for arraignment.

March 12, 12:50 p.m.
A female reported being at the Panera Bread 1000 block Baltimore Pike and being closely watched by a male subject who was inside acting suspicious. She left and went to the supermarket and found that one of her credit cards was missing. She then learned that the missing credit card had been used without authorization at several stores before she was able to cancel the card. Det. McNeely is investigating.

March 13, 7:02 p.m.
Officers responded to the Red Lobster restaurant unit block Baltimore Pike for a report of an assault that occurred. A male and female reported that while eating, a female known to them approached and started to physically attack them with her hands. She walked out after the disturbance and was followed out by the victims. She then threw a rock at the windshield of the victim’s vehicle and drove her vehicle towards him. Det. McCarthy is investigating the incident.

March 14, 6:21 a.m.
A resident of the 400 block Wayne Avenue reported he started his Toyota vehicle to warm up and went back inside the house. While inside, someone stole the vehicle. On March 17, at 9:39 a.m. Clifton Heights police located the vehicle parked and unoccupied.

March 16, 2:45 p.m.
A 48-year-old male from Broomall was cited for disorderly conduct after being observed on the 400 block Saxer Avenue urinating in the street.

March 18, 4:44 a.m.
A 29-year-old male from Lansdowne was arrested and cited for public drunkenness after being found on the 600 block Baltimore Pike intoxicated.
