SPRINGFIELD, PA – The latest Springfield Police blotter is out, and we've got details from the report here.

It covers police-handled incidents that occurred between Aug. 27 and Sept. 2.

Notably, police are investigating a stolen vehicle, dealt with disorderly party crashers, stolen vehicle wheels, and more.

Aug. 27, 11:22 a.m.
The Wine and Spirits Store 100 block Baltimore Pike reported two incidents from Aug. 25 in which a male subject stole a bottle of liquor. At 11:25 a.m. Aug. 25, a male selected a bottle of whiskey and placed it in his shorts before leaving; at 5:11 p.m. the same day a male selected a bottle of vodka and placed it in his jeans before leaving. Det. Nutley is investigating.

Aug. 28, 8:08 p.m.
A 14-year-old Springfield child and 18-year-old Morton residents disrupted a children’s ride attraction at the mall by entering the ride area and jumping on the ride. The two threw the ride against a wall when told to stop. Mall security asked the boys to leave, but they continued to act disruptive. Officers responded to the area and found these two loitering in the rear lot and of course recognized them from the area. After questioning the two about the incident inside the mall and why these two were hanging out together, the 14-year-old walked away, cursed at the officers, and threw an empty potato chip can on the ground. Both are facing charges, and their parents were notified.

Aug. 28, 9:16 p.m.
A patron of the mall reported parking his Volvo vehicle in the lot near Macy’s to eat dinner inside the mall. When he returned to the lot he found his vehicle missing. Det. McCarthy is investigating the theft.

Aug. 29, 9:02 a.m.
Employees at Piazza Honda found three of their new Honda Accord vehicles parked on the sales’ lot had all four wheels removed sometime overnight.

Aug. 29, 8:37 p.m.
Ofc. Clifton investigated a two vehicle crash on Springfield Road at Bennett Road. He found a pickup truck had driven into the rear of a stopped vehicle in front. The driver of the truck, 27-year-old man from Media, was found to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and submitted to a blood test at the hospital. He was later released to family and will be charged with DUI and traffic offenses.

Aug. 29, 10:50 p.m.
Ira Woodley 41, of Clifton Heights, was arrested and charged with retail theft after Target security at the mall observed him selecting and concealing over $390 worth of various clothing and attempting to leave without paying. He was taken into custody and held for arraignment at Springfield Court.

Sept. 2, 11:20 p.m.
Two uninvited guests attempted to crash a party on the 600 block Cheyney Rd. The party hosts were confused because the uninvited were already intoxicated, so they asked them to leave. This led to a physical altercation and officers arrived to end it. Aimee Barry, 42, of Drexel Hill and Jason Drobel, 44, of Rydal, Pennsylvania, were both found to be drunk. They were unable to care for themselves nor were they cooperative with finding a ride home, so they were taken to headquarters by police. Both were charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
