Springfield Police Blotter: Thefts, Possible DUI Crashes
Police are investigating two crashes where the drivers were suspected of being intoxicated.

SPRINGFIELD, PA – Springfield Township Police released its latest crime report. This one covers police activity between July 17 and July 22.

July 17, 12:16 a.m.
Officer Hurwitz located two juvenile males loitering in the rear of Stoney Creek Shopping Center after the hours of business. Both were cited for curfew violation and released to family.

Jule 17, 4:03 a.m.
Officer Christy stopped a vehicle on Church Rd. at Westdale Place after observing the driver of the vehicle appearing to be unconscious. Investigation showed the driver to be intoxicated. The 38-year-old Morton resident was taken into custody and submitted to a blood test. He was later released to a friend. Charges are pending.
July 17, 4:40 p.m.
Natasha Pearsall-Jones, 28, of Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with retail theft after an investigation by security at Target in the mall revealed that she had stolen $279 worth of cosmetics, jewelry and clothing over a three day period. She was released from custody pending a summons.

July 21, 9:28 p.m.
A crash investigation by Officer Paytas at the intersection of State and Springfield roads. showed that the driver of a vehicle which struck another vehicle in the rear was found to be intoxicated. The 59-year-old female from West Chester was taken into custody and submitted to a blood test. She was released to friend and charges are pending.
July 22, 6:22 p.m.
A resident of the 300 block E. Springfield Road reported two bicycles stolen from his rear yard. The bikes, a Trek Gary Fisher and a Tony Hawk, were taken sometime between July 19 and the time of report.
