The blotter covers incidents that occurred between Dec. 4 and Dec. 8.

Dec. 4 at 7:24 p.m.
Emaj Potts, 18, from Chester, was arrested and charged with retail theft after Target at the mall security reported they had observed him select and conceal seven speakers in the Electronics Department valued at $200. Potts was held for arraignment.

Dec. 5 at 10:43 p.m.
Unlocked vehicles were entered sometime overnight and loose coins were taken on Edgewood Road, Glendale Circle, West Avenue, and the 600 block North Bishop Avenue.
Dec. 5 at 4:15 p.m.
A patron of the Panera Bread, 1000 block Baltimore Pike, reported that while sitting at a table with her handbag slung over her shoulder a male and female approached and sat close to her for a period of time. When she later left the restaurant, she realized that a small purse was missing from the handbag containing several credit cards. The cards were later found to have been used at Macy’s. Detective Devaney is investigating.
Dec. 6 at 9:15 p.m.
A woman shopping at the Gap store in the mall reported her cell phone had been stolen at the checkout counter. The victim left her phone on the counter for a moment while moving to select another item, and while she was gone, another female swiped the phone from the counter and into a handbag. The actor then left the store. Detective McCarthy is investigating.
Dec. 8 at 4:45 p.m.
Gbassie Osiefa, 21, from Sharon Hill, attempted to steal a 32-inch television along with bedding, toys, and sporting goods from Target at the mall by placing the items in a shopping cart and trying to leave the store. He was taken into custody, charged with retail theft and held for arraignment.
Dec. 8 at 5:46 p.m.
Benjamin Appel, 29, from Media, was taken into custody and charged with retail theft after Target at the mall security observed him attempt to steal $88 worth of Red Bull. He was cited and released.
