Springfield Police Report: Thefts, Harassment, Public Drunkenness
Police said one woman involved in a vehicle crash went to the hospital to harass a witness. See more details and the full report here.

SPRINGFIELD, PA – Springfield Township Police issued their weekly crime report on Monday, covering police-handled incidents that occurred between June 25 and July 1.
Police dealt with numerous theft cases, public drunkenness, harassment, and vehicle break-ins among other crimes.

June 25
The Springfield community fell victim to a rash of car break-ins in the early morning hours of Monday, June 25. Twenty incidents of theft or attempted theft from cars were reported. Some of the areas hit were Parham, Harwicke, Evans, Lynbrooke, and Beechwood roads, as well as East Leamy Avenue Investigators are looking over video footage provided by several residents. All of the vehicles involved were left unlocked.

June 25, 12:47 p.m.
Target security, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. Tamara Campanese, 32, of Secane, was observed concealing merchandise into Target shopping bags and attempting to leave the store without rendering payment. Total amount of the theft was $153. Campanese was arrested and charged with retail theft. She was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Sgt John DiTrolio is handling the case.
June 25, 2:23 p.m.
Target security, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. Jaeshona Wicks, 20, of Chester, was observed selecting a pair of shoes and a shirt from the women's department and attempting to leave the store without rendering payment. Total amount of the theft was $97. Wicks was arrested and charged with retail theft. She was cited and released from custody. Det Robert Nutley is handling the case.
June 25, 5:22 p.m.
Police were dispatched to an assault in progress at the Springfield Hospital, 190 West Sproul Road. Chantal Lemoyne, 47, of Drexel Hill, was found on location. Lemoyne had been involved in a hit and run accident at the hospital earlier in the day. She was identified as the striking vehicle by a parking lot attendant who provided police with a witness statement. Lemoyne went back to the hospital to confront the witness and tried to force her way into the attendant's booth. Lemoyne was arrested and issued citations for disorderly conduct and harassment.
June 26, 11:19 p.m.
Officer Sean Clifton was checking the high school property and observed two juveniles at the top of the bleachers. One of the juveniles climbed onto the roof of the school. Officer Clifton approached the bleachers and the subject on the roof jumped down. The juveniles were detained and identified. Citations were issued for curfew violations and trespassing. Both juveniles, 14 years old, were released to their parents.
June 27, 6:14 p.m.
Target security, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. A male and a female were observed concealing baby formula. As they exited the store, they were approached by security. The female fled and the male resisted detention efforts by security, eventually escaping to a vehicle in the parking lot. The male suspect dropped identification during the struggle with security. Thirty cans of baby formula were recovered. Six cans, worth $97, were stolen. Det Robert Nutley is investigating.
June 29, 12:33 a.m.
Springfield Hospital, 190 West Sproul Road, reported a subject on the ground. Officers discovered an unconscious male in the area of the parking garage. As the male began to awake, it was apparent that he was under the influence. He admitted to using Xanax, alcohol and synthetic marijuana (K2) earlier in the evening. The male was transported to the emergency room for treatment. He was cited for public drunkenness.
June 29, 2:55 p.m.
Target security, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. Danielle Aubourg, 25, of Lansdowne, was observed concealing merchandise into her purse and attempting to leave the store without rendering payment. Total amount of the theft was $193. Due to Aubourg having her 2-year-old son with her, she was identified at the store and released. She will be charged with retail theft through summons. Sgt John DiTrolio is handling the case.
June 29, 4:17 p.m.
Police responded to the unit block of Locust Avenue for a dispute. While officers were gathering information at the scene, one of the involved parties, Sharon Connolly, 34, of Aston, began yelling and acting disorderly. It was also evident that she was intoxicated. Connolly was arrested and cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. She was released to a friend.
June 30, 11:56 a.m.
A motorist reported a suspicious person in the area of the Stoney Creek Shopping Center, 500 Baltimore Pike. Heather Bocook, 27, of Clifton Heights, was contacted by police. It was apparent that she was under the influence of a controlled substance. She was cited for public drunkenness and released to a friend.
June 30, 8:52 p.m.
Target security, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. Kristin Demay, 30, of Rochester, New York, was observed selecting merchandise and placing it in her shopping cart. She then attempted to return the merchandise with a fraudulent receipt. When the return was denied, she proceeded to the store exit with the stolen merchandise. Demay was detained by store security. Total amount of the theft was $30. Demay was arrested and charged with retail theft. Det. Daniel McNeely is handling the case.
July 1, 5:08 p.m.
Target security, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. Jayson Ronan, 27, of Clifton Hts, was observed selecting merchandise and placing it in his shopping cart. He then proceeded to the customer service desk and completed a return with a fraudulent receipt for $105. Ronan was detained by store security when he attempted to leave the store. He was arrested and charged with theft. Det. Daniel McNeely is handling the case.
