State Trooper Shoots, Kills Driver Who Dragged Him With Vehicle: Report
Reports say the trooper fired on the driver after being dragged over a quarter of a mile.

A Pennsylvania State Trooper shot and killed a driver who dragged the trooper over a quarter of a mile after the trooper stopped the driver Tuesday afternoon, according to Penn Live.
The outlet reports the driver attempted to run from the trooper who was attempting to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle on near the Emigsville exit on Interstate 83 in York County. The trooper's uniform wa caught on part of the car and when the car attempted to flee, the officer was dragged about three-tenths of a mile and the driver tried to slam the trooper into the concrete median, Penn Live reports.
The trooper then fired on the driver, who died at the scene despite responders providing life-saving efforts, the outlet reports.

Police told Penn Live the driver, who they did not identify, died at the scene and the trooper's injuries don't seem to be life-threatening.
According to Penn Live, the incident is being investigated as an attempted murder of a trooper.
