Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation Announces 2014 Humanitarian Award Honorees

Awards breakfast slated for October 28 in Warrington, Pa.

The Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation is pleased to announce its 2014 Humanitarian Award Honorees. Each year the foundation honors individuals who live and work in the Greater Philadelphia area and have made a significant humanitarian contribution to their local communities. This year’s honorees are part of an extraordinary group of professionals who strive to make their community and the world a better place to work, play and live. The 2014 honorees are:

  • Beth Baker, Founder, Deserving Décor. Baker is being honored for her work with the Bucks County Housing Group and the United Way of Bucks County. In partnership with these organizations, Baker helps provide transitional housing for homeless families within the community. Baker also serves the community through her work with the Keystone Opportunity Center, Lower Bucks Red Cross, A Woman’s Place and Shared Support.
  • Tom Manion, Chairman Emeritus, Travis Manion Foundation. Manion is being honored for his work with the Travis Manion Foundation, which helps military veterans and their families and honors those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Manion also served for 30 years as a Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
  • Chuck McIlhinney, State Senator 10th District. Senator McIlhinney represents Bucks County in the Pennsylvania State Senate. McIlhinney is being honored for his service as Chairman of the Senate Law and Justice Committee and as Vice Chairman of the Senate Game and Fisheries Committee. McIlhinney is also is a member of the Labor and Industry, Rules and Executive Nominations, State Government and Transportation Committees. Senator McIlhinney proudly supports many charitable organizations throughout the communities he serves.
  • Jane Moore, Owner, Moore Cleaning. Moore is being honored for her work with Habitat for Humanity, Business Cares, Doylestown Rotary Club, Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, Doylestown Historical Society, Life Abundant and Pearl S. Buck International.
  • Chris Nardo, President and CEO, Monument Bank. Nardo is being honored for his work with the Doylestown Historical Society, Warrington Soccer Club, Doylestown Presbyterian Church, Pennsylvania Bankers Association, Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce and Doylestown Rotary Club. Nardo has been serving the Bucks County area for over 25 years within the banking industry.


These individuals will be honored at the 3rd annual Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation Humanitarian Awards Breakfast on Tuesday, October 28 from 7:30 - 9 a.m. at the Warrington Country Club, 1360 Almshouse Road, Warrington, Pa. The awards breakfast is open to the public and tickets are $50. Sponsorship and program advertising opportunities are available. The Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial and emotional support to families in Bucks and Montgomery Counties that have lost a parent and are raising children under the age of 18. The organization was founded in memory of Ted Lindeman, a Hartsville husband and father of two young children who died in 2004 at the age of 33. During his short life, Ted always made himself available to lend a hand to family, friends, neighbors and co-workers in their time of need.
