Aug. 7, 8:36 a.m.

CVS on the 300 block Baltimore Pike reported the theft of multiple bottles of body wash. Employees reported observing a female inside the store select the bottles and conceal them in her handbag. She left the store and entered a vehicle in the parking lot. Detective Devaney is investigating.

Aug. 7, 1:12 p.m.

A juvenile male from Lansdowne was stopped by Target security at the mall for taking a $30 jacket from a display and attempting to leave the store without paying. The male was taken into custody and later released to his grandfather. He will charged with retail theft.

Aug. 7, 1:40 p.m.

Detective Devaney is investigating the theft of four cell phones from the AT&T store on the 100 block Baltimore Pike. Employees there reported that three males entered the store and removed four cell phones from a display area. They all fled the store running on Baltimore Pike.

Aug. 9, 7:35 p.m.

The sales supervisor at Lenscrafters on the 800 block Baltimore Pike reported that a male had entered the store on Aug. 8 at 7:30 p.m. and asked for an adjustment to his glasses. While he was being assisted, he selected multiple pairs of sunglasses and concealed them in his pants. He then fled the store and left the area in a waiting vehicle. Detective Nutley is investigating.

Aug. 9, 8:19 p.m.

A juvenile female from Chester was in the mall Target store with her mother and observed by security selecting and concealing over $200 worth of purses, clothing, pharmacy items and food. She was taken into custody and later released to family. She will be charged with retail theft.

Aug. 9, 9:45 p.m.

A juvenile male from Brookhaven was stopped and charged with underage drinking after Officer Boyd located him inside Crowell Park consuming an alcoholic beverage. He was later released to family.

Aug. 10, 5:12 p.m.

Terren Pettaway, 18, of Upper Darby was stopped and arrested for retail theft after Target at the mall security observed her steal $230 worth of clothing. She was taken into custody and held for arraignment at a Springfield court.

Aug. 11, 9:20 a.m.

Springfield Township Library employees reported that sometime overnight from Aug. 10 to Aug. 11 an unknown person kicked the automatic door rail damaging the rail and the wiring. Detective McCarthy is investigating.

Aug. 11, 1 p.m.

A juvenile male from Springfield will be charged with disorderly conduct and harassment for an incident that occurred at the high school. Ofc. Graff responded to a report of a fight in the parking lot. He learned that the male had taken a basketball from the victim the day before and upon the victim confronting the male about taking the basketball, the male attacked the victim. As passersby tried to intervene, the male cursed at the them and upon arrival of police, the male cursed at them and fled the lot on his bicycle. He was recognized by police and charged.

Aug. 11, 4 p.m.

A silver Big Ripper bicycle was stolen from the mall near the Target the store. The victim went to the mall with two friends and all three secured their three bikes. They later found the bikes to be missing. Sgt. Welsh responded and from investigation found two of the bikes in a different spot on the property. The third bike was taken by an unknown subject.
