Thief Pushes Police, Money Stolen, Warrant Arrest, And More: Springfield Police Blotter

SPRINGFIELD, PA – Springfield Township Police issued a press release Monday listing the incident officers handled from May 15 to May 22.

May 15, 8:06 a.m.

Upon opening for business, employees at Bamboo Nails and Spa on the 400 block Baltimore Pike found that sometime overnight someone had broken into the business and removed an unknown amount of cash from the cash register.

May 15, 1:55 p.m.
A resident of the 400 block Kent Road reported sometime over the weekend a camera and tripod was removed from her vehicle.

May 15, 10:55 p.m.

An employee of a business on the 100 block South State Road reported her purse was taken from her unsecured vehicle sometime during the morning hours.

May 17, 7:28 p.m.

A 67-year-old female from Oxford will be charged with retail theft after being observed by Target Security at the mall stealing over $200 worth of clothing from the store.

May 18, 9:29 p.m.

Target Security at the mall store observed a subject identified as Ifeanyi Nwani, 29, of Upper Darby, in the cosmetic’s department attempting to conceal a curling iron. They recognized this person from two prior thefts at the store. When attempting to take Nwani into custody, Nwani pushed security officers and ran from the store. Officer Boyd and other officers searched the area and were able to locate and stop Nwani in the area of North Chester Road. Nwani was charged with robbery and retail theft and held for arraignment.

May 19, 12:27 a.m.

The CVS store at 334 Baltimore Pike reported a male subject stole a can of Dust-Off and walked out of the store. Sgt. McKinney responded and located the male hiding in the rear dumpster. William Lincoln, 39, of Secane, was taken into custody and charged with retail theft. He was arraigned at Springfield Court.

May 19, 9:01 p.m.

A juvenile female from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with retail theft after being observed by Target Security at the mall stealing over$400 worth of clothing, handbags, and shoes. She left the store and was located by Sgt. McKenna in the parking lot.

May 20, 1:28 p.m.
Witnesses observed a white male in his 30s driving a beige colored SUV steal a bicycle from the front yard of a residence on the unit block of Myrtle Avenue. Det. Nutley is investigating.

May 20, 7:31 p.m.

A member of the Springfield Healthplex reported that sometime during his workout, someone removed his wallet from a storage locker.

May 20, 11 p.m.

While investigating a disorderly subject incident near the Parkway Inn, Officer Kingsbury found that Michael Eash 33, of Glenolden, had an active arrest warrant from Delaware County for a previous drug charge. He was taken into custody and transported to Delaware County Prison.

May 22, 1:31 a.m.
An adult male from Eddystone and adult female from Collingdale were cited for park violations after being found in Church Road Park during prohibited hours.
