Zoning Board Rejects Proposed Mall Massage Studio, Approves Plaza Variances
A proposed massage studio in Springfield Mall was denied because it is not permitted in that district.

The Springfield Township denied an application for a proposed massage studio in the and approved requested variances on behalf of Springfield Plaza Associates during its meeting Feb. 23.
Application 12-01, for a proposed massage studio, was denied because township zoning code dictates that such a business is not permitted in the shopping district.
Application 12-04, requesting variances for two proposed 72 square-foot pylon signs, exceeding the 50 square-foot maximum allowed size for a wall sign permitted in the township without a variance, was approved including other zoning relief for the special use zone at 905 W. Sproul Road (also known as 130 S. State Road).
