Chester County Sees 24 More Coronavirus Cases

Two dozen more cases in the county were reported Friday, but luckily there have been no deaths in the county yet.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — There are two dozen more cases of the new coronavirus, or COVID-19, in Chester County, according to figures provided Friday.

The county's website shows an additional 24 cases have been discovered in the county since Thursday.

Overall, there are 102 cases in the county, up from 74 reports Thursday.

To date there have been 1,094 negative test results in the county.

Tredyffrin Township has the highest concentration of cases with 11.

Easttown Township has nine, East Whiteland and Uwchlan townships have eight each.

West Chester Borough has seven.

Half of all cases are men, while 48 are women. The unaccounted 2 percent of cases are unknown genders.

There may be differences in data reported by the Chester County Health Department and the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Chester County officials said.

"This is usually due to cases that are incorrectly assigned to counties, which is corrected prior to reporting," the county said. "The state’s data reflects the corrections in their next data update. The local Health Department data reflects the most accurate data."
