Learn To 'Outsmart The Scammers' At Tredyffrin Library

The Tredyffrin Public Library wants to help area residents avoid being victims of various scams, such as IRS, grandparent, and other scams.

STRAFFORD, PA — Scammers are reprehensible, no question about it. They target vulnerable people to bilk them of their hard-earned money.

And the Tredyffrin Public Library wants to help area residents avoid being scammed.

The library will host a free event from 12:30 p.m to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28 called "Outsmart the Scammers."

This presentation is designed to help seniors learn how to identify these types of schemes and avoid falling victim.

Older adults are especially vulnerable to falling prey to unscrupulous crooks behind scams involving collection fraud, the Grandparent Scam, long-distance relationship scam and more.
