4th Annual Heel for Healing Dog Walk

If you thought that a little rain could dampen anyone’s spirits at the 4th Annual Heel for Healing Dog Walk on May 19, you were barking up the wrong tree!  Contestants eagerly competed for the titles of smallest and largest dog, cutest puppy, and best owner/dog look-alike, just to name a few.  Later, very fashionable canines lined up to take the runway for the much-anticipated fashion show.  Throughout the event, dog walk participants got great tips from Old York Road Training Club and Suburban Dog Training Club trainers, and enjoyed inspiring demonstrations presented by Keystone Search and Rescue and the Abington Police K-9 Unit.   Tasty food and sumptuous raffle baskets rounded out the day.  In the end, those who came in dogged pursuit of a good time got exactly what they were hoping for, and then some.
