Dr. Vail Garvin to Speak at Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce 3rd Annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon on April 23.

The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Dr. Vail Garvin, executive director of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, will be the keynote speaker at the 3rd Annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon on Tuesday, April 23.

The event will be held at Café La Fontana, 58 S. York Road, in Hatboro from noon until 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.00 per person, and there will be door prizes and raffles.

"For any business, large or small, administrative support staff are a vital asset, and we dedicate this chamber luncheon to those who work tirelessly to ensure the success of their respective employers," says Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce President Joseph J. Tryon, Jr. "We are so thrilled to have Dr. Garvin address this gathering bringing the wisdom derived from a stellar career in both the corporate world and the community service sector."

Dr. Garvin has served as Executive Director of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce since 2000. Prior to that she was the President of Executive Healthcare Consultants, Inc., and Senior Vice President of Corporate & Public Affairs at Independence Blue Cross.  She has had extensive experience as a senior level healthcare executive and a business administrator with a strong record of initiative and leadership.

Dr. Garvin received her BS degree in Nursing at Emory University, and earned her Doctorate in Public Administration at Nova University. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is an active member and participant in a broad spectrum of non-profit, professional and advocacy organizations and associations serving as Trustee of the Naval War College Foundation in Newport, R.I., Independence Blue Cross Board of Directors, Doylestown Historical Society Board of Directors and the Heritage Conservancy Board of Directors.

The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce office is located in the Red Barn Mall, 120 S. York Road, and hosts special and annual events to support area businesses, both large and small.
