FRESH GROUND Coffee House presents: Second Chance Band

Classic, country, total ROCK comes to FRESH GROUND Coffee House on March 22 with the SECOND CHANCE Band!  They fill the stage with all your favorite songs - you will be singin', rockin' and clappin' along all night!  We are open from 8pm to midnight Friday, March 22. About Second Chance: Founded in the late summer of 2010, Second Chance began as a one-time-only cover band armed initially with a twenty song set. The enthusiastic response they received from their first ever concert inspired them to take a Second Chance and keep going. They have now played many successful live performances to the delight of their audiences and the bewilderment of their Kids! The members of Second Chance include:
John Burkhauser - Lead Guitar: Having worked his way up from air guitar, to a broom and now to a real guitar, John once played in a cover band called Indigo with drummer Mike McDonnell. Pat Jones - Guitar and vocals: Patrick is getting his Second Chance after having been a member of the BT Blues Band. Patrick sings with a Rockin' Country flavor in his vocal renditions and occasional lead on his Guild electric guitar. Patrick adds to the dynamic by wailing a rockin' blues harmonica on several of the cover songs as well. Mike (Butter Fingers) McDonnell - Drums and vocals:
Born and raised in Philadelphia and now living in Bensalem, PA. Former drummer for Indigo and 440Crow. Mike loves making music, whether it's mastering and performing the sonds he grew up listening to or perfecting original material. Bill Palardy - Bass guitar and vocals: Bill is thrilled to be sharing his passion for songs from his youth with the seasoned and talented bandmates from Second Chance. Got that mojo workin'!   John Smith - Rhythm guitar and vocals: He started singing in school groups at age 10, got his first guitar at age 14, and has continued performing ever since in a variety of musical groups. Ed Mc Tague - Rhythm guitar and vocals: Ed has had music in his blood since he got his first guitar at age 10. He has support of his loving family and is excited to be part of Second Chance and a great group of musicians.  Steve Hart - Acoustic rhythm guitar and vocals: Steve obtained his first guitar at age 11 and has never stopped playing since (a very long time!), A native of England, he first developed as a performer while studying music at the University of Durham and regularly playing the folk scene throughout northeast England.

About Kyle:he studied at St. Mary’s College of Maryland and the University of Maryland, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Fine Art. He is currently studying under artist Lee Boynton from Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts (www.leeboynton.com).  Kyle’s art focuses on the attributes of God, memory, and family that are presently being developed from his experience of helping aging dementia patients and from ministering to individuals.  "Most of my work is filled with the contours of nature but every hill, segment of ground, and plant is covered by a different pattern. With each pattern suggesting an aspect of God’s glory I am attempting to visually capture the passage of Habakkuk 2:14a “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.” The simplification of my figures evolved from studying different cultures way of visually describing the human body. I only incorporated into my work similar overarching features."
