Willow Grove Resident Laura Oringer Member of Temple University Hillel Mentor Program

In less than two years, Hillel at Temple University has made an impact on students and alumni in a most significant way – in a way that keeps growing and benefitting everyone. It’s the Temple U Hillel Mentors program that was created to engage Temple graduates and invite them to share their professional skills with students. It can also motivate out-of-state Temple students to stay here in Philadelphia for future jobs. When it was launched in September, 2011, alumni were asked to “ease the way for students before they start their professional careers by providing guidance, advice, and friendship.” The co-chairs, Donna Bell and Sharla Feldscher, imagined how nice it would have been for them as students to have someone in their field to ask advice.
