Presents the drama

“All My Children”

By Arthur Miller

The Village Players of Hatboro have announced the second production of their 65th Season. It’s the winner of the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Drama, “All My Sons” by Arthur Miller. The show premieres on Friday, March 8th at 8:00 p.m. The theater is located at 401 Jefferson Avenue in Hatboro. For information, call the box office at 215-675-6774.

During the Second World War, “Joe Keller” (Christopher Applegate) and “Herbert Deever” ran a machine shop that made airplane parts. “Deever” was sent to prison because the firm turned out defective parts causing the deaths of many men. “Keller” went free and made lots of money. The twin shadows of this catastrophe and the fact that the “Keller” son was reported missing during the war dominate the action. The love affair of “Chris Keller” (Mathew Danihel) and “Anne Deever” (Kristen Hannings) the bitterness of “George Deever” (Zach Palmer) returned from the war to find his father in prison and his father’s partner free, are all set in a structure of almost unbearable power. The climax showing the reaction of a son to his guilty father is a fitting conclusion to a play electrifying in its intensity. Also in the cast: “Kate Keller” (Bonnie Kapenstein), “Dr. Jim Bayliss” (Bob Petrik), “Sue Bayliss” (LeighKaren Labay), “Frank Lubey” (Walter March), “Lydia Lubey” (Amanda Klein) and “Bert” (Jonathan Herbert).
