Fatal Shooting Investigation Continues In Upper Southampton: DA

The Bucks County District Attorney's Office said that no charges have been filed in the shooting that killed two outside a township bar.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bucks County District Attorney's Office said Friday that it is continuing its investigation of last week's fatal shooting that left two dead and another injured.

"This investigation is ongoing," said Manuel Gamiz Jr., director of communications for the Bucks County District Attorney's Office. "We have not filed any charges in this case at this time."

Gamiz said an update would be provided once the "investigation is finalized."

Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck had announced autopsy results Tuesday for the two people killed during an altercation in the parking lot of the Steam Pub on Second Street Pike as having multiple gunshot wounds.

Steven A. Panebianco, 30, of Bensalem Township and Raymond A. Farrell IV, 28, of Philadelphia were both killed during the shooting late Friday night. A 24-year-old man was also injured, but police have not revealed his identity.

Meanwhile, the shooter has also not been identified by authorities.

Upper Southampton Detective James Schirmer told Patch Monday that the shooter may have acted in self-defense according to preliminary evidence from surveillance video police reviewed from two businesses near the Steam Pub on 606 Second Street Pike in Southampton.

At that time, he said a decision on criminal charges wasn't expected until later in the week.
