UPDATED: Tree Burns in Blaze
A burning tree brought fire crews to an address on Second Street Pike Wednesday morning.
11:41 a.m.: At around 11:30 a.m., Southampton firefighters responded to the scene of this morning's fire to investigate reports of brush that was on fire.

The fire was mostly out when firefighters from Northampton and arrived at around 9 a.m.

With a few quick blasts from a hose, the last remaining flames were out and fire crews cut down the tree and sprayed down nearby mulch.
Minute earlier, when Assistant Fire Chief Todd Hanefeld arrived at the scene he said saw smoke pouring across Second Street Pike.
